Trefoil Guild News - December 2011

As we move to the end of this year, I am sure many of you are as busy as elves baking and getting ready for family and friends visiting during the Holiday time. It is hard to believe that another year is almost over. I have heard from many of you that you are having Holiday lunches, dinners and gatherings. It is such a lovely time of year when many of us see old friends and I still get and send cards to folks that I haven't actually seen in years. This year I have a whole new set of Trefoil friends to share thoughts with in the UK.

For those of you in the Hamilton/Toronto area here is an event you might want to attend. On behalf of the Sisterhood of the Travelling Trefoils, I would like to extend a warm and personal invitation to our Thinking Day Ceremony to be held on Wednesday February 22, 2012 at Hamilton City Hall, Main St from 6:30 to 7:00pm outside on the forecourt. For more information please contact Candace.

We have something exciting to look forward to this June; we are having a Provincial Gathering the weekend of June 15-17, 2012. Be a part of this exciting exclusive Trefoil event where there will be wonderful out-trips and activities that have been planned for your enjoyment, including: The Oshawa Peony Festival, a visit to the Parkwood MacLaughlin family mansion, and Camp Samac for exploring, canoeing, and archery. Take a short trip to the picturesque town of Port Perry where you can enjoy Dragon Boat races and a pleasant lake cruise. Visit the many interesting shops along Port Perry's main street and stop at White Feather Farms Country Store. In town, try lawn bowling, Tai Chi, international cooking or a new craft. Attend a traditional campfire. The cost of this event will be $250 (based on double occupancy) and the fee includes HST. For more information or if you have any questions, contact Terry Goulet at:gouletterry@hotmail.com. To register for this event please visit the Ontario Event Calendar (Adult Sisterhood event).

I want to wish each of you a very Happy Holiday time, and hope each of you enjoys good health and happiness in 2012
