FAQs Safe Guide

What is the Safe Guide?

Safe Guide is the document that GGC provides to Members in the preparation of plans for exciting activities and opportunities in their quest to deliver innovative activities for girls. You can find the document here.

How do I find Safe Guide forms?

They are available on the national Girl Guides of Canada website here. Be sure to use the most current Safe Guide forms.

How do I submit my Safe Guide forms for my Unit Activities?

In Ontario you e-mail the forms to safeguide@guidesontario.org or fax to 416-920-1440 Attn. Safe Guide. You must submit your forms 14 days prior to your Yellow activity/event or 21 days prior to your Red activity/event (for international trips over 72 hours see timelines on IT. 1 - International Group Trip Planning timeline).

Remember that it is the Unit Guider’s responsibility to ensure that Ontario Council has received your forms (however you sent them). This is particularly true if you have faxed or mailed your forms. Verify that your forms were received either by phoning 1‐877‐323‐4545 ext. 2487 or 2463 or e‐mailing safeguide@guidesontario.org. If you have e‐mailed your forms, you will receive an automatic response indicating that your message and any attached documents have been received. You will receive a subsequent e‐mail with a tracking number. Keep note of it for future reference
