What is e-Learning?
E-learning is an online training method provided by our national office. This method of training has been developed for Guiders who find it more convenient or are unable to attend a face-to-face training. The following TEAM modules are offered: Safe Guide, Unit Guider Foundation stream and select enrichment modules. To access, click here
Is there a fee to take e-learning?
Yes, there is a fee to complete the online training modules, but currently Ontario Council provides subsidy to its Guiders. In order to complete e-learning at no cost a PIN is required.
How do I request an e-learning PIN?
Complete the online PIN request form
How does the e-Learning PIN work?
PIN numbers have a dollar value associated with them. This dollar value is based on the number of modules selected on the PIN Request form. Most modules have a $5.00 value, with the exception of the Girls United enrichment module that is $10.00 to complete.
Does the value of the e-Learning PIN need to be used all at one time?
Yes, the PIN cannot carry a balance, so when you log on for the first time with the PIN please ensure you are purchasing all the modules you wish to complete. For example, if the PIN has a $10.00 value, you must purchase all modules at the beginning to equal $10. You must purchase two $5.00 modules, or one $10.00 module. Once you have used your PIN, it cannot be used again. You can take the trainings at your convenience once they have been purchased.
