How do I order cookies for my Unit?
The cookie order process and link to the ordering manual for each campaign is e-mailed to the Cookie Orderer. Orders are submitted using the online order website. For more details please review the online ordering manual (Member Zone login required).
What do I need to do to sell cookies at a store or mall?
If a facility asks you to sign a document, complete the document with the information of the Responsible Guider for the event as the Contact. Forward the completed document to the provincial User Space Coordinator for authorized signature. Allow seven (7) days for processing. Once processed, the User Space Coordinator will return the completed document directly to the facility, copying the Responsible Guider, Cookie Coordinator, Unit Administrator, and Administrative Community Leader. Cookie sales may NOT begin until processing of documentation is confirmed.
What if a certificate of insurance is requested?
Download a current copy of the INS.02 Request for Certificate of Insurance form from the National website. Complete the form, using the contact information of the Responsible Guider for the event. Please enter the e-mail address of the facility contact instead of the facility fax number to speed up processing, then e-mail the form directly to the broker (details are on the form).
Note: if a document signed on behalf of Girl Guides of Canada is also requested, please send both documents directly to the User Space Coordinator. The User Space Coordinator will verify the insurance information is complete and then forward the request to the broker. Allow seven (7) days for processing.
Now that my cookie selling event has been booked how can I promote this to the General Public?

How do cookies benefit Guiding?
The cost of $60 per case breaks down as:
- $12.25 to the Unit
- $0.75 to the Ontario Council membership fee subsidy fund
- $20.50 to Ontario Council
- $4.75 to the National level of GGC
- $21.75 to Dare
How will the increase of $1 per box affect my Unit sales?
Before the new price was determined, a survey was completed in 2010 and results showed that there was very strong support from the general public for purchasing Girl Guide cookies and paying $5.00 per box. Many programs and opportunities have also been developed to support cookie sales such as Cookie All Stars and Cookie Day at Sears. Given inflation, we believe that this price increase will not pose a problem for sales. We encourage all Units to remember that Canadians love our cookies and they generously support our cookie campaigns. This price increase is an opportunity to provide continued sustainable funding for our organization and first and foremost for the girls.
Guiders, for more information regarding the new price of cookies please visit MemberZone on the national GGC website.
